Q: How long will my project take to complete?
A: Every project is a bit different. Before any construction begins, we will provide you with a tentative schedule of the work to be completed each day. Weather delays are to be expected. To help keep everyone informed of your project’s progress, we provide a process blog for commercial projects that can be checked at any time and by anyone during our project with you.
Q: What should we expect the first day?
A: On the first day of your project, you should expect to see building materials delivered and the demolition process started. Each project has its own unique needs. We will review our plan with you in advance so there are no surprises.
Q: Where will construction materials be stored before they are ready to use on our proejct?
A: Each project is different and has unique needs. For larger projects, when possible, we try to obtain a variance to store products in the street temporarily. There are circumstances when this is not possible. In those situations, we work with our clients to find convenient staging areas for our materials.
Q: Will driveways be blocked at any point during the process?
A: We do our very best to avoid blocking any driveways. However, if this situation should arise, we will notify homeowners and/or tenants well in advance and do our very best to clear the way as soon as possible.
Q: Will you provide dumpsters or dump trailers to remove the debris from the project?
A: Every project is different. On some projects we use dump trailers and others we use dumpsters from trash removal companies. If the client has a preference, we do our very best to satisfy that request. Please note, the dump trailers or dumpsters are strictly for our use during the project. Please report any unauthorized use of the dump trailers.
Q: Do we need to move anything before construction starts?
A: Any outside tables or decorations and signage not attached to a building should be moved away from the construction site to avoid damage.
Q: What time do your crews start working in the morning?
A: Construction will begin as early a 7am. We start early each day to ensure we get your project done quickly and with the least amount of disruption.
Q: How well do your crews clean up each day?
A: Daily cleanup is mandatory for all of our crews. A dirty job site is both unsightly and dangerous for all. We are committed to keeping areas as clean as possible. Please understand that no construction process is without some dirt and inconvenience. Just know we are doing our very best to mitigate this and will keep it as clean as possible during your project.
Q: How much noise are you going to make?
A: Unfortunately, noise cannot be avoided. We make all attempts to notify residents about when construction will take place. We also work to complete our projects on time to minimize the length of time for our work.
Q: Are we going to feel vibrations inside of the home?
A: Yes you will. Please remove any and all sentimental or expensive items from countertops, walls, and mantles. Most items stay secured, but occasionally we do hear of items falling. It’s always better to use caution.
Q: How dangerous will the construction be?
A: It’s important to use extra caution when living or working around any construction site. Please keep all children and pets inside of your home until all work has been completed and cleaned up. We will give you authorization to re-enter the area once we have completed our final inspection. This is for your safety and ours.
Q: What if I have other questions?
A: All questions are good questions and every construction project is different than the previous one. We pride ourselves in getting to know your property and the people we work with so we can adapt to your needs! So please, ask as many questions as you would like. We are here to serve you!
